Christianity Compared With Other Religions

Some people will say "all religons are the same". Clearly they haven't done their research. In one religion there is one God, in another religion there many Gods. In another religion there is no God. These facts conflict with each other, so by definition they aren't all the same.

The founders of all religions are dead and in their graves - with one exception. Buddha, Muhammed, Confucius are all in their graves. Jesus is alive; he rose from the dead and is alive today. Imagine you were on a journey, came to a crossroads and didn't know which way to go. Two men were by the side of the road. One was dead, the other one was alive. Which man would you ask for directions?

The founders of all other religions did not claim to be God. Rather, they pointed men and women to God, saying "this is the way to go". Jesus is the only one who not only claimed to be God but who said: "I am the Way, The Truth and The Life. No-one comes to the Father except by me."

Also, Christianity is the only religion where man does not rely on self-effort by faithfully performing good deeds to make himself acceptable. The Bible says man cannot make himself good enough; only God can do that for him.

The video below shows a man in a hole. Religious efforts cannot rescue him. We need to humble ourselves and acknowledge defeat through self-effort (which can lead to pride). Our humility then becomes an opening for God to do his part. Only a God who can reach down and rescue us in our problem solves it. Christians believe that God, in the person of Jesus Christ, came down into the hole and rescued us. The question is: do you want to be rescued from the hole?
